Graphene Ceramic Coating Collection Kit = Great value!

Just to start-off, I am NOT an expert auto detailer, but I do enjoy a clean vehicle, and I also enjoy doing it myself by-hand. A little over a year ago, I purchased my first Adams Advanced Graphene Ceramic Coating Kit and achieved very nice results. Not only does my car look great, the hydrophobic properties of the coating also make routine cleanings much easier. Please know that this was my first experience working with any type of ceramic coating, and to be honest, I was a bit afraid/hesitant to "do it myself". I checked-out a few Adams videos on YouTube, and after reviewing, I decided that I could do this! I think it's important to clarify for beginners: (1) YES - You can do this! But know in advance that it does require a lot of work. (2) I believe it is critical to understand the entire process so that you'll know exactly what to expect. (3) The process requires several KEY steps: Clean & decontaminate the vehicle (Wash & Clay Bar/Mitt), Paint Correct (by hand or with orbital polisher - I personally used a polisher), then prepare the surface & apply the coating, and finally wait, wipe-down leveling the coating and polish to a shine. There are some intricacies to each step, but if you prepare by watching a few videos, reading the instructions, and allowing yourself ample time to complete the project, I believe you be met with outstanding results and a fair amount of personal satisfaction. This particular kit, the "Graphene Ceramic Coating Collection Kit" is similar to the original kit I purchased, but it offers even greater innovation & value by adding a new Glass Coating along with "Advanced Graphene Ceramic Spray" & appropriate applicators/leveling towels to get at hard-to-reach areas or for use in keeping your coating fresh over time (which is what I plan to do with it). Personal Results: I did use the appropriate applicators and had plenty of product to complete 3 vehicles between the two kits purchased. One vehicle is a small sedan (new), and 2nd is a 2-door sports car (older but very well maintained), and the 3rd is a 2500 crew-cab pick-up (required extensive paint correction). the sports car has been coated for over a year and is holding up extremely well, while the other 2 look great, they've only been complete for a short time. I absolutely love the look and the results of Adams Advanced Graphene Ceramic Coatings and expect to enjoy their benefits for years to come. I hope this review may be helpful to anyone considering the product & process - Best Wishes!

Ceramic Coating Collection Kit…Review,Results,Tips

The kit came with everything you need to successfully apply the coating, less the paint prep chemicals and buffer. Quality of the products up to and including the bottle sprayers exceeds expectations of quality. The microfiber towels are the best I have ever used. The pricing is comparable with others. When purchasing car care I’ve learned you get the results you pay for. Adam’s always has % off deals which helps tremendously on saving money. The “it” factor for me other than quality was the how to videos. Extremely easy to follow with excellent facilitation form the hosts. Watch them, then watch them again, you learn something new every time. Results I coated my recently repainted (5 months ago) black 01 Silverado extended cab truck. My painter could not believe the difference in shine and finish. It’s not a show truck, but looks like one. Don’t expect a one day turnaround on completing the entire process. It took my wife and I about 25 man hours total from washing to application and removing a few high spots after detail “eyeball” in the sun. But it’s amazing when finished. Tips Watch all the latest Adam’s instructional videos (YouTube). From correct washing to buffing to applying coating, then correcting your mess ups…and you will. Then, watch them again. If you have questions during the process, refer to the correct video on your current step…watch again. Don’t get in a hurry on ANY step. Take your time, be methodical on how much you want to cover per day, half day… Don’t be scared, the videos tell you how to do every step and correct mistakes. Be organized with your equipment, chemicals, towels…know where they are and in easy reach all time. Questions not on videos or simply can’t grasp (I did) use their email. Their follow up response is usually a 24 hour turn around and a professional answer and solution every time. For 20+ years I’ve been a die hard Meguires or Mothers car care customer. But Adam’s products, quality, training resources are unmatched in the car care industry. Would I recommend Ceramic Coating Collection Kit…YOU BETCHA! Rick Haley Arkansas

I recommend this product

Great product and car looks amazing. Ran out of product before I finished first coat.

I love the product so far. Looks amazing on my Tesla Model 3 red paint. Unfortunately only made it about 3/4 of the car body before I ran out of product. I'm pretty sure it was because I decided to apply with the large applicator pad as seen in your advanced techniques weekly video. It applied easily and I was super sparing with it and only applied thin film. I believe much of the product is wasted in the sponge itself. Since I put such a thin first coat I will likely want to put a second coat. I guess I'll need to order at least another 100ml.

In the kit you’ll find:

1- 60ml Graphene Ceramic Coating Advanced

1- 4oz Graphene Boost

1- 4oz Surface Prep

2- Single Soft Towels

2- Suede Removal Towels

2- Suede Applicators

1- Pair of Gloves

1 - Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating™ Advanced 12oz

2 - Borderless Grey Microfiber Towel

2 - Microfiber Applicator

1 - Graphene Ceramic Glass Coating 30mL

2 - Microfiber Applicators

2 - Edgeless Utility Towels

Instructions for Paint & Glass:

  1. Prepare your painted surface or glass by using the supplied 4oz bottle of Adam’s Surface Prep and Surface Prep towel to clean and degrease the surface of any existing protection or residual films. For optimal results, users must Wash, Clay/Decontaminate, and Polish their paint prior to application.
  2. Shake coating bottle before use. Open the coating bottle and begin by dispensing numerous drops of the liquid onto the supplied Micro Silk applicator to sufficiently wet it. Work the product into the surface, ensuring full coverage over the desired area, using cross hatching motions and overlapping your previous pass by 25-50%. During your time between passes, utilize Adam’s UV Flashlight for inspections. Take note of between the body lines, bumper areas, mirror caps, and commonly missed areas on your vehicle. To ensure a thorough application, the light should shine and reveal an even and consistent bluish hue of light. If you notice streaking in the surfaces, level out with additional product and the used Micro Silk applicator.
  3. Once the recently applied product begins to characteristically flash and sweat into beads, begin wiping the coating off, applying minimal pressure to the towel in the process. Wipe down in a similar cross hatch pattern as applied, switching/flipping the towel periodically to use a new face to fully level the coating.
  4. Once fully leveled, allow the coating to fully cure for 24 hours, free from water, elements, or weathering.

Instructions for Plastic Trim & Headlights:

  1. Prepare your plastic trim or headlights by using the supplied 4oz bottle of Adam’s Surface Prep and edgeless utility towel to clean and degrease the surface of any existing protection or residual films. For heavily contaminated plastic trim or headlights, we recommend a deep cleanse with Tire & Rubber Cleaner and an edgeless utility towel.
  2. Since the product is being applied to a porous surface, you will not see a rainbow/ flashing effect - the immediate color change of the plastic or trim will reveal where the product has been applied. However, you are also able to utilize the Adam’s UV Flashlight for inspections where desired.
  3. Once the recently applied product has penetrated, begin leveling the coating, applying minimal pressure to the towel in the process. Wipe down in a similar cross hatch pattern as applied, switching/flipping the towel periodically to use a new face to fully level the coating.
  4. Once fully leveled, allow the coating to fully cure for 24 hours, free from water, elements, or weathering.

Instructions for Wheels:

  1. Prepare your wheels by using the supplied 4oz bottle of Adam’s Surface Prep and edgeless utility towel to clean and degrease the surface of any existing protection or residual films. For heavily contaminated wheels, we recommend a thorough cleaning with Adam’s Wheel Cleaner, or Eco Wheel Cleaner, in addition claying with a Fine Grade Clay Bar and Detail Spray may also be necessary to initially remove stubborn contaminations from the barrels and/or wheel faces.
  2. Take note of behind the spokes, in between the crevices of the wheel design, around the valve stem and center cap areas.

FAQ:

  1. “Can I Apply the Advanced Formula Over My Existing Coating?”

Yes you can! For a quick installation, you can wipe the vehicle down with Surface Prep and coat it. For a longer lasting, more durable protection we recommend decontaminating the vehicle with clay and or machine polishing prior to applying the new coating.

  1. “Can I layer this product to make it last longer?”

Yes, of course, but that doesn’t mean layering this product 10 times will make it 10x longer— any application after 3 rounds will render the product redundant and still provide the same hydrophobic effects.

  1. “What is Ceramic Glow Technology?”

Ceramic Glow Technology™ is Adam’s Polishes Patent-Pending chemistry. It’s a crystalline form of an optical brightener that absorbs energy and emits light as it relaxes back down to a lower energy state.

  1. “What’s the difference between fluorescence and phosphorescence?”

Length of time that the light is emitted. Said another way, the amount of time it takes for the electrons to relax and quit releasing energy in the form of photons or light.

  1. “Does the UV Coating act as a durability indicator?”

No, it doesn’t. It’s currently offered as an application aid and utility for visualizing the coating. Lack of glow does not indicate lack of coating.

  1. “Why does the product glow more intensely on some substrates than others?”

Differences in porosity and the ability of the coating to penetrate and bond to different surfaces will cause different levels of film thickness. The thicker the film, the more intense the glow typically.

  1. “Will my car glow blue in the sunlight?”

No, because this coating is completely invisible and clear under standard light, the coating will only glow a bluish hue under the 395 NM UV light.

  1. “Will this coating glow after being “charged” with the UV light?”

No, since this coating is fluorescent and not phosphorescent, it will excite and glow only when the light is shone. Contrarily, “glow in the dark” items have a yellow/greenish hue from phosphorescent dyes-- these slowly become excited under any light and will diminish over the course of a few minutes.

  1. “What can I use this on? Can I just use this on the whole car?”

Adam’s UV Graphene Ceramic Coating provides protection to an extreme range of areas on your vehicle including Painted surfaces, Trim, Bed Rail Covers, Plastic Engine Bay Components, Headlights, Bed liners, - all are safe to be protected.

  1. “What happens if I forget a spot or end up with a high-spot?”

If you forget a spot and you catch it in time (10-20 minutes after removal) simply reapply to that area and wipe off after 1-2 minutes. Reactivating the product will allow for easier removal. If left on for longer, we recommend Brilliant Glaze and a microfiber applicator, or machine polishing with Correcting Polish to fully remove the imperfection.

Common Sense Warning:

Adam’s Graphene Ceramic Coating™ Advanced is a semi-permanent ceramic coating. Avoid contact with eyes, nose, and ingestion – always keep away from children! If contact does occur, rinse thoroughly with water and monitor for irritation. If irritation persists, contact a physician.
