After using the gray microfiber wash mitt for a couple years, I figured I would try this one out as well. It is good quality, extremely soft and holds a massive amount of suds. But, as others have stayed, this mitt is just too big to handle efficiently. It doesn't even fit into wash buckets very well, making it difficult to use grit or dirt guards. It says it is 10", just like the 10" wool wash pad, but it is much larger than the wool pad. It is also difficult to control on curves and vertical panels. If it was just an inch or two smaller in diameter, it would probably be my favorite wash pad and I would give 5 stars. This thing absorbs water and suds excellently, almost too much, as it will **** most of the water right out of your wash and rinse buckets.
This wash sponge is a big boy, it does get a little hard to keep grasp of when washing the sides doors but overall it is a beast of a sponge.
It did a great job and held soap very well and was easy to clean
The sponge itself does a good job of removing dirt and grime from the vehicle, but it is too large, and extremely thick. Which is great until you actually go to use it. When the sponge is wet, especially soaked, man does it get heavy! I didnt weigh it, but I suspect that it comes in at a minimum of a pound. Washing my Civic coupe was one **** of a workout. Also, like previous reviews suggested, it is difficult to grip, you can't wrap your hand around it, so if it's doing anything except for moving on a flat surface, its hopeless. I feel like a smaller size would be a massive improvement, maybe like a 4"x6" sponge would be nice. Overall, I suggest you purchase the similar wash mit instead of the sponge as it would be easier to handle, and give you good results.
Very soft and absorbent wash sponge, I wish it was offered in an 8" or even 6" size. It's a very large sponge that holds maybe a gallon of water. Multiple sizes would be nice.
