Adam's Black Trim Restorer is a temporary dye coloring to bring back a nice dark color to faded exterior trim pieces.
Just used this stuff for first time today. A little goes a long, long way. A few drops at a time on the end of microfiber applicator is enoug. Applied this to the windshield cowling, wiper anrms, and the rubber air dam on my C5 Corvette. They went from milky charcoal gray to inky black. I’ve never seen any trim restoration product do that. Next question is how long this lasts. Even if it’s just a few months, reapplication for both is a 10-minute job, total.
This product is superior to it's counterparts in the chain stores. Better shine and longer lasting. Like every other product I had, I replaced them all with Adams!
Finally, a product that works! If you’ve used other trim restorers before, forget about them. They are not even in the same league as this stuff. Works instantly to take faded gray trim right back to a polished factory look. The only downside is the dry time, if you rub against it before it’s dry it’ll stain you too! Otherwise this is the perfect solution.
This is my first Adam’s product, I purchased this along with graphine detail spray and I’m impressed with both but, the trim restorer really stands out. My wife has a 2013 explorer with lots of faded gray plastic. I’ve used other “black restoring” products in the past and they can look for for about 30 seconds, as soon as they start to dry it’s like they were never there. This is completely different. The second it touches the plastic it makes it look like you’ve installed a new trim piece. I also like that it does try to add shine, it just makes it black again. I can’t comment on longevity at this point but for application and results this stuff is outstanding.
This does not restore trim to the like new blackness and does not last very long especially if rain hits it.
Sometimes exterior trim becomes so faded that constant exposure from the sun can cause the trim to dry out and begin to lose the color pigmentation in the plastic. In such cases, our VRT - Vinyl, Rubber, Trim dressing may not be able to fully bring back a deep, rich color to the plastics. This is where Adam's Black Trim Restorer will be necessary.
Black Trim Restorer applies easily with a Microfiber Applicator Pad, or our Ceramic Coating Applicator, which works great for tighter spots. You will want to make sure the trim is as clean as possible before applying this product, so we would recommend wiping it down thoroughly with Eco All Purpose Cleaner or Tire & Rubber Cleaner first. Applying is simple and easy - pour a few drops onto the applicator, and carefully spread it across the trim piece in a nice even motion. Work the product in thoroughly and allow to dry for several hours. Then take an Edgeless Utility Towel and wipe away any excess residue afterward. In most cases there will not be any residue, but if you apply too heavily, there may be some excess that needs to be wiped away.
Black Trim Restorer is a game-changer for those plastics that just don't seem to want to get perfect again, and it will last a few months per application, too! You're going to love this product, 110% satisfaction guaranteed!
