Let me start by saying the first pressure washer I received was a nightmare. After set up and pressurizing the unit, it would begin to pulse or cycle every 2 to 5 seconds while in standby. I tried everything from buying a new hose, checking my water pressure coming from my house, removing the back flow coupler from my hose bib to checking all washers and o-rings. Needless to say, nothing worked. When first contacting tech support online I was told this was a normal function of the unit so that it can be fully charged when you squeeze the trigger. It was so annoying it drove me crazy! I had watched several videos on this pressure washer, even a few from Adam’s, and never heard the unit cycling like mine. The only thing I could come up with was it had an internal leak which prevented the unit from maintaining its constant pressure while in standby. After using the pressure washer several times and having the same issue EVERY TIME, I decided to call tech support and either fix or return the unit. This time I spoke with Charles and I can’t say enough about the help I received. Charles not only provided excellent tech support, walking me through the unit’s set up and use, but he also gave outstanding customer service! The end result was the unit was defective and Charles quickly had another unit sent to me.
Now, for the pressure washer; this is a fantastic unit for home car detailing. I can’t attest to its use as a commercial or small business, but I would imagine you’d want something in the pro-series line. Set up is easy and coming from a gas powered pressure washer the convenience is so much better. The unit is so quiet and only operates when you squeeze the trigger. With the gas powered washer, I would have to have gas on hand, turn it off every time I wasn’t spraying with it, start it up every time I wanted to spray, and the noise. Because I live in a hot environment, I would normally wash my cars in the morning or early evening. I always felt bad because I know my neighbors could hear that power washer up and down the block. When I’m running this washer it is barely noticeably inside my house. The hose that comes with the pressure washer is probably one of the best hoses I’ve seen that wasn’t purchased separately. 40’ gives me the length I need to set up my pressure washer in one place completely cover my full sized truck. You don’t know the annoyance when you have to continually move a pressure washer when detailing your car. The tips and gun are good. For the price I would like to have seen the swivel gun provided with the unit but really, that’s just nitpicking. For a few bucks more, get the wand. It makes cleaning your wheel wells and tires so much easier and helps if your suv/truck has a high roof. The pressure is good, using the 40° tip I’m able to remove almost all but the most stubborn things stuck to the paint.
If there is anything to consider about this unit it’s the GPM’s. 1.4 is on the lower end but with the PSI it is a nice balance. I also wouldn’t consider this unit as a home pressure washer, for driveways, sidewalks, windows or sidings. Don’t get me wrong, it will do all those things but it’s definitely on the lower end for home use and not sure how that type of use would affect the longevity of the unit.
Over all I would recommend this unit to anyone who wants to wash their own car/truck. The ease of use, how quiet the unit runs and provided hose makes this a great buy.
