Because Hot August Nights limits the manufacturing year of cars registered to 1979 or earlier, automotive history is on full display. From pre-war era cars to classic fifties and sixties cars, each body design and classic American styling is in abundance throughout each car show around the Reno/Tahoe area. Along with original automotive design from the manufacturer, a culture of automotive modification can be seen everywhere. With this brings an appreciation unlike any other car show.

Rarely do you see a stock or original car amongst the week long event. Each and every modded car provides its own unique personality which provides a connection to each individual's identity. Everything from a simple or minimalistic personality to the more, for a lack of a better term, wacky or eccentric personality is present and there to enjoy what Hot August Nights has to offer.

With all walks of life in attendance, this provides a mutual respect for the personification that each car provides. Quite often during the duration of the car show, you’ll hear many compliments and discussion around each car build and questions around each decision the individual made when creating their pride and joy.  Whether it be a modification made by an individual or a concept provided to a custom build shop, each alteration is there to be enjoyed and honored. Along with the common mutual respect, a collective priority amongst each attendee is caring for the appearance of their vehicle, and Adam’s Polishes is ecstatic to be a resource for premium car care to each individual.

Hot August Nights provides a hot bed of car enthusiasts who are all chasing an impeccable shine on their cars. With Adam’s Polishes being present both at the Grand Sierra Resort and Big Boys Toy Store downtown, car care products are easily accessible. Being in the Nevada heat and parked in an exposed parking lot provides many challenges when keeping a perfect shine on a car. Before the festivities of Hot August Nights get going during the day, many of the registered participants are out at their cars wiping them down with their favorite quick detailer (eh hem, Detail Spray) to ensure their “baby” is presented in its best light. With Adam’s Polishes Grand Sierra Resort booth opening at seven in the morning, you’ll see car owners flood the Adam’s Polishes area to grab their favorite quick detailing products before they get their cars ready. And like worker bees, they ascend onto their cars working until it looks perfect.

Adam Pitale has been attending Hot August Nights since 2004 and has watched it grow into the specticle that it is today. "I love the comradery amongst car enthusiasts at Hot August Nights. For many years, Adam's Polishes would come stocked to the brim in our truck and trailer. But in recent years we began offering detailing services on-site at our booth to allow patrons to get full paint correction services, providing an award winning finish on their cars.

Because the car show provides it's own challenges for performing car care processes, as well as the travel required for some to get to the show, arriving with a perfect finish can be challenging for Hot August Nights attendees.
